Abdulakeem Sodeeq Sulyman is a purpose-driven librarian, researcher, educator, author, and leadership enthusiast whose career has been defined by an unwavering commitment to personal growth, knowledge creation, and societal transformation. As an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Library and Information Science at Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Nigeria, and a doctoral researcher in Library and Information Science, he has consistently demonstrated that self-discovery is a lifelong journey of learning, service and impact, earning earning him the role of Chief Operations Officer, GLOEMI.
 
His personal development journey is rooted in a passion for continuous learning, innovation, and the pursuit of excellence. Through numerous professional and personal development programmes, he has acquired competence in leadership, digital transformation, project management, communication, emotional intelligence, human resource management, grant writing and career development. He is a beneficiary of the prestigious Leadership Masterclass Mentorship Programme at the GOTNI Leadership Centre, Abuja, and a Fellow of the Commonwealth Leadership Programme, experiences that have significantly shaped his leadership philosophy and strengthened his capacity to inspire and empower others.
 
Abdulakeem has deliberately invested in self-leadership and personal mastery through certifications in self-leadership and emotional intelligence, communication and interpersonal skills, digital leadership, professional networking and management. These experiences have equipped him with exceptional skills in research, strategic communication, academic writing, mentorship, public speaking, networking, project coordination and team leadership. As a scholar and thought leader, he has contributed extensively to the advancement of Library and Information Science through numerous publications in reputable local and international journals, conference presentations, and book chapters. He serves in various editorial and scholarly capacities, including as Managing Editor of the International Journal of Information, Diversity, and Inclusion (IJIDI), United States of America, and as a reviewer for several reputable journals. His scholarly interests span digital literacy, artificial intelligence, knowledge management, leadership, information disorders and emerging technologies in libraries.
